On-site Fault Maintenance Case
Case 1: Mud Pump Cylinder Liner Wear Fault of ZJ70/4500D Drilling Rig - On a deep drilling site in western China, the ZJ70/4500D rig's F1600 mud pump experienced a sharp decrease in discharge pressure after 300 hours of operation. After inspection, it was found that the cylinder liner was severely worn, with a wear depth exceeding 2mm. The cause was that the drilling fluid filtration system failed, leading to excessive solid particle content. The solution was to replace the cylinder liner with a high-chromium alloy liner (model-matched) and repair the filtration system. After replacement, the pump operated normally for 800 hours. This case confirms that strengthening drilling fluid filtration is crucial to preventing cylinder liner wear.
Case 2: Swivel Seal Leakage of ZJ30/1700DB Drilling Rig - During medium-shallow drilling in a southern oilfield, the XSL170 swivel of the ZJ30/1700DB rig had drilling fluid leakage. Inspection showed that the seal ring was aged and cracked due to long-term exposure to humid and corrosive environment. The solution was to replace the seal ring with a high-temperature and corrosion-resistant type and apply anti-corrosion coating on the swivel surface. After maintenance, no leakage occurred within 500 hours of operation.
